Saint Mary's Sesquicentennial celebrates the intellectual impact the College has made on generations of Gaels and on the culture and society in which it plays a dynamic role. In that spirit, the College offers a series of symposia throughout the Year of the Gael.

The Year of the Great(est) Conversation(s): Michael Sandel on the Liberal Arts and the Common Good: Justice and Citizenship

Michael J. Sandel is the Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Professor of Government at Harvard University, where he has taught political philosophy since 1980. His recent book, Justice: What's the Right Thing to Do?, relates the big questions of political philosophy to the most vexing issues of our time. His newest book, What Money Can't Buy: The Moral Limits of Markets, was published in spring 2012.
